1. Sniper school 514 - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Fox's links are pretty much everything you could want to know about sniping successfully. Also a good read for those who would like to kill snipers successfully. @Gacela Modesta: I prefer scout suits for the mobility. I usually use Gallente with ...

2. Uh... - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
You need to pick your fights more in starter fits. You can't just run in and curb stomp people. If you're dying a lot in starter fits, then you need to work on not dying in starter fits. That will only make you better.

3. Some snipers just can't be hit? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
How far away were you? Sometimes when you are at really long ranges and it gets easier to see chevrons then actual bodies, you can be off by a pixel or two. I have even had to aim where the chevron was visibly off centered in order to hit before.

4. Considering breaking into dropships, how should I prioritize my skill choice? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I know many pilots love missile turrets. I do too. But if you are going to be flying with random or inexperienced gunners, consider blasters. Specifically scattered blasters. While they make fitting a bit difficult, they are a bit easier for anyon...

5. Need help from a scout - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
AFAIK, the only way to become "invisible" to scanners is to run proto Gallente Scout with 4 complex profile dampeners in the low slots. This takes your profile below the precision of the best active scanner available. The downside is that with tha...

9. Q on Caldari dropships - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
If you are finding that you need to equip an afterburner to gain altitude then this is either a bug or operator error. None of my dropship fittings have afterburners and I am able to fly higher than the MCC with all of them.

Im pretty sure it was said somewhere that turret skills do not affect installations. However there was talk that they might affect the player droppable ones when they go live while the ones already seeded on the map would remain unaffected.
